Healing Lotus Massage

I am a licensed massage therapist and have been working in the Des Moines area since 2012. My main focus is Sports Massage, Re-balancing and Pulsing, Neuromuscular Therapy (trigger point work), Lymphatic Drainage, Reflexology, Thai Foot Massage, and Scalp Massage. I am a certified Tai Chi instructor and have been practicing Tai Chi for 14 years. Like massage, Tai Chi has many health benefits that can greatly improved ones daily lifestyle. 

I would say my business exists where Sports massage and energy work meet. By blending specific stretches with relaxation techniques, clients can recover in a peaceful environment. Recovery work can be a truly healing experience. There is an internal as well as external component to our lives and massage can help remind us of that. I strive to bring joy and balance into my practice by blending my passion for massage, martial arts, and making environmentally conscious skin care products.

I put my creativity to use by building a range of different massage services. No two people are alike and I take that into consideration. I believe feedback can be a helpful tool to success. I’ve put that same creativity to use by designing, handcrafting, and building a vegan skin care line called Lotus Box. I’ve been making soap for over 15 years and I very much enjoy finding new scent combinations and ingredients to use. I have also learned how to make various scrubs, balms, bath bombs, body oils, and more. I’ve gained an understanding of essential oils that I put into my massage practice. I continue to build upon that knowledge and love being able to share my essential oil blends with clients.
